Installation
Pre-installation Inspection
Ensure the surface of the transmitter cover is dry before installing the rain transmitter. Any moisture or water droplets will cause measurement errors. You may optionally place a desiccant inside the transmitter.
Check that the transmitter housing is tightly fastened and the PG7 cable gland at the bottom is locked without any looseness.
Outdoor Installation and Commissioning
Install the rain transmitter in an open area with no obstructions around or above it.
-
First, mount the transmitter onto the mounting bracket included in the accessories. Secure the transmitter and bracket using four M4*35 304 stainless steel screws and nuts.
-
Next, install the bracket at the designated location. A φ5 circular hole is required at the installation site.
-
Ensure the bracket is installed horizontally. Finally, fix the bracket and transmitter in place using three M4*10 304 stainless steel screws and nuts.
